Gluten and Dairy Free no flour Chocolate Cake
A gluten free and dairy free no flour chocolate cake, great for having with a hot drink after a lovely meal. more please chef!
Serves: 8
• 120g dairy and soya free dark chocolate.
• 120g dairy free butter or margarine
• 150g caster sugar.
• 80g cocoa powder.
• 3 eggs, beaten (You can also use an egg re-placer if preferred).
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
• Grease a 20cm round cake tin, and dust with cocoa powder.
• Preheat the oven to 150 degrees C.
Prep: 15 mins | Cook time is: 30 mins
1) Melt the dark chocolate and butter together on a low heat.
2) Remove from heat, and stir in caster sugar, cocoa powder, eggs and vanilla. Ensuring that the mixture is stirred until smooth.
3) Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin.
4) Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
5) Allow it to cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a suitable rack or plate.
6) Leave to cool before serving.
The cake is lovely either warm or cold with ice-cream, cream or even custard. Don't forget you can get dairy free versions of all these accompliments.

How is this dairy free and egg free when it contains chocolate and 3 eggs?
Hi Katy, it’s dairy free as it uses DF margarine (I choose vitalite) and the chocolate is plain dairy free dark chocolate. Egg is not classed as dairy, just milk based substances in this case. For your son you could try an egg replacer which iv also used to bake this before. Looking at the info, ill make the details clearer. Hope this helps and do let me know if you try it.
